The fine print,
in plain words.

Home · License & privacy

Short version: use it in your classroom as much as you like, don't sell it or pass the file around, and we don't collect anything about you here.

License

Applies to the free name tags and to every paid Matchy Room download.

You may

  • Print and use the files in your own classroom, for as many children as you teach, every school year
  • Print replacement copies whenever pieces wear out
  • Type your own text into the editable files and print the result
  • Show printed pieces in photos of your own room, including on social media

You may not

  • Resell, sublicense or give away the files, in whole or in part
  • Share the file with colleagues or across a grade level — one teacher, one classroom (a team license is available inside each paid download)
  • Upload the files to a school drive, shared folder, blog or file-sharing site
  • Use the artwork in your own products, printed goods or commercial designs
  • Claim the artwork as your own, or remove the credit page from a file

License tiers

One purchase covers one classroom, home-school included. If a grade level or a school wants the same files, the extra licenses are priced openly rather than negotiated:

Ownership & credits

All artwork, layouts and files remain the property of Matchy Room. You're buying a license to use them in your classroom, not the artwork itself.

All artwork is created in-house with digital and AI tools, then finished and checked by us — no third-party clipart, and nothing traced from anyone else's work.

Type is set in Poppins (SIL Open Font License 1.1), Quicksand (SIL Open Font License 1.1), Dancing Script (SIL Open Font License 1.1), Fredoka (SIL Open Font License 1.1), Chewy (Apache License 2.0). Every license text ships inside the downloads that embed the face, and the same fonts are named on the credits page of each file. PowerPoint is a registered trademark of Microsoft Corporation.

If a file has a problem

Tell us what happened and a teacher reads it. If something is genuinely wrong — a page that won't print, a size that doesn't hold, a typo — we fix the file and reissue it to everyone who has it. You don't buy the correction.

Because these are digital files we can't take them back once downloaded, so the free set exists precisely so you can judge the quality before spending anything.

Privacy

This site does not collect anything about you personally beyond the email address you type into the free-set box, and it sets no advertising cookies. The full detail — hosting logs, the email list, and how classroom photographs are taken — is on the privacy page.

Questions about any of this belong on the FAQ page — if the answer isn't there, ask and we'll add it.
